LaGuardia into Manhattan- best way?
What is he best way to get from LaGuardia into Manhattan late at night? I have heard that cabs charge a flat $50.00- is this true? Any safe, but less expensive options? Thanks!

Oops! I hit the wrong key The best way is to take a cab. Have go to Northern BLvd and follow that to the 59th Street Bridge which will get to the high 50's streets and the east side of Manhattan. Late at night, cross town traffic is not bad. It should not cost $50.00 to do that.

Also, if you are staying at a leading hotel, they usually will have a courtesy van. IF not, Carey's Limo service used to make the airport run from Midtown. Hope this helps.
If you take a cab, be sure to take a yellow cab with a meter, not a "gypsy" cab. There is a Carey bus. I'm sure there are tons of tour type busses into midtown.

there is a bus service with reasonable rates. $8-12 I think although its been a couple of years. good luck!
It WILL NOT cost $50 to cab into Manhattan. There is a taxi stand outside of LaGuardia, wait in line and get in a cab, it is consistently around $25 (including toll, not including tip). I think this is the best way, you could take the bus, but at $12/head, if you have twelve people that is almost the price for a cab ride.
