Labor Day Parade
 

Could someone tell me if the parade is on Saturday or Monday, as we are planning on driving to New York City on Saturday from Maine for the long weekend.

I have a feeling it is on Monday. Will know more tomorrow once the NY Times lists the weekend happenings.

Parade is on Fifth Ave., from 44th St. - 72nd St. Starting at 11 a.m.

it's on Saturday.

I don't believe there is a "Labor Day Parade" here. I did an extensive search, including the Daily News, and found nothing. There are West Indian Day parades Sunday & Monday but they are in Brooklyn.

Nothing listed in today's Weekend section of the NY Times.

Maybe parade was cancelled this year as it was so close to the Convention, giving the Police some time off.

mclaurie: the website you looked at listed the parade from LAST YEAR - 2003.

You're right luv2fly. The top of that page is this year with nothing mentioned for Manhattan this weekend as far as a parade.

Thank you all for your help. I'm relieved the parade is off. One less thing to deal with driving into the city.
