LA to LVG monday sept 12, what time leaving ?

Hi. I'll be leaving LA on monday sept. 12 to Las Vegas. I've read in some posts to avoid early rush hour, so at what time can I leave the hotel ? Must I reach San Bernardino then Barstow ? Is it well signed ? How many hours ? Crowded Vegas on monday ? Always valet parking ? ( don't have it in Europe, and one get's the feeling of your car stolen . . . ). Bring water in ther car ? For a two week road trip, should I buy a Coleman for water on board ? Thanks you all

stay in your hotel until around 9:30 or 10:00. i never use valet parking in vegas. if you are staying on the strip you will walk most anywhere and there are shuttle buses you can take. avoid driving as much as possible. it is a pain along the strip.

You don't need to go through San Bernardino, it adds more time to the trip. Instead go through Rancho Cucamonga, bypassing San Bernardino. Yes, you will go through Barstow. Figure 3 - 5 hours total driving time depending on where you will be departing from in LA.

Tell us more about your LA location and I'm sure that you'll get better responses about missing that am rush hour.

3 hours? WHOA! Try 4.5 to 5.5 hours! Don't forget there's construction on the 15 freeway, too.

Like I said it depends upon where in "LA" he's leaving from. Can make a huge difference on how much time it takes.
