LA Times Foodie Travelers

The Times on line has a link to 20 great cheap eats in Los Angeles and Orange County. This is why LA is such a great town for foodies.

Useful if you may be traveling here (or are looking for new adventures). The Times tends to block access to archives after a week, so suggest to save the article. (You can cut and paste to an email to yourself).

Locations are spread thruout LA and OC.

mlgb, you have done a great service to visitors and locals!

BTW, I heartily second the recommendation in the article for Opus (by the Wiltern). Wonderful new restaurant-- exceptional food in an exceptionally beautiful room.

I think your title is misleading. I can't picture calling someone who gets a hot dog and soft drink at Costco a foodie!!!
Is your definition of foodie different from mine?

But it's a great list of spots.

Yeah yeah, but you have to admit those Hebrew National Dogs are pretty good.

OK, picture me in LA. I'm hungry for a hot dog. Big decision. Should I go to Pink's or should I go to Costco. Isn't this a no brainer?

Neopolitan, the line at Pinks is always like three years long ;) and the hotdogs at Costco aren't bad! Angeleno's love their hotdogs.

I totally love the lychee ice cream at Fosselman's! Mmmmm :)

Besides, those Pinks dogs are just Hoffys, and they have chili all over them.
