LA Thrift Stores
 

We are taking a long weekend vacation to LA for Memorial Day weekend. I would love to check out their thrift stores. Can anyone direct me to the thrift stores you'd recommend in that area? Thank you!

Are you talking about places that sell used items, like Goodwill, Council Thrift Shop and Out of the Closet? If so, there's a load of them here in West L.A. on Santa Monica Blvd, Sawtelle, and Pico.

I frequent the Out of the Closet on Fairfax and Oakwood (near The Grove). These stores are scattered all over LA and you never know what you might find. Fairfax has a couple of Council thrift stores (one near Rosewood/Fairfax), but I much prefer the Closet stores. The streets mentioned by Sufergirl have quite a few shops as well (I rarely go to WLA, so can't comment) You might want to try asking this question on bargainsla.com message board
