LA/ Santa Monica with boyfriend and another couple!
 

Hi everyone!

I am traveling to cali with my boyfriend and our two friends (another couple.) we will be there from April 21-24. Were staying in Santa Monica but allso want to go to Hollywood, etc. we are looking for suggestions on things to see/do, attractions, restaurants, bars, places to see stars.

We would love to try crazy different foods you can get in LA. Stuff like what's on the LosAngeles_eats instagram page. Different crazy ice creams, milkshakes, foods. We also all love sushi and sushi restaurants or sushi burrito/donuts would be good suggestions! We also need a recommendation for brunch! With mimosas! Either in both Santa Monica and la.

We want to hike to the Hollywood sign but want to get up to the point where it's right above us or we're behind it. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Or if there are any other beautiful or interesting hikes around those three areas we will take those suggestions too!

As far as Beverly Hills, Hollywood, rodeo drive, what's the best stuff to do around there? What about the Warner brothers studio tour...suggestions/opinions on that? We want to see famous stuff/ the stars on the sidewalk. Maybe run into a celebrity somewhere. It's our first time, so we want all that encompasses LA. We are definitely interested in unique suggestions that aren't necessarily "popular" but awesome places to go/see.

Does anyone have suggestions on cool places to shop? That aren't crazy expensive!

Anywhere in LA you think are "must sees" I am a photographer so I look for classic places to photograph or amazing scenery and landscapes.

What are the best things to do in Santa Monica / Venice beach if you're just going to spend a beach day there? Is there stuff to do around the beach like jet ski, surfing, etc.

Any and all suggestions will help! If anyone has any questions or needs me to be more specific let me know, I tried to explain what we like! Thank in adavence for the help!

Take a hop on/hop off bus tour... most will stop near your hotel area... they stop at 20 or more tourist spots...

Please don't refer to the state of California with that 4 letter word.
If you do go to the Hollywood sign, keep your eyes open for the radio collar cougar P-22.

Try Nobu in Malibu for sushi and possible celebrity sightings (or you may also see reality "stars"). You will need a car to get there.

Check out the internet on possible way to see the Hollywood sign, it's a bit of a walk, but nice and worth it... see Griffith Observatory when you're up there, beautiful classic building and views!
El Coyote in Hollywood is an old, cheap but decent food, great margarita place...
Lots to see and do in Venice and all of the beaches... but Venice is funkiest and beautiful to ride a bike along the bike path to the beyond the Santa Monica Pier and back
Brunch with mimosas is Meet me in Paris in Culver city...
