LA - San Francisco - 12 day trip
My husband and I will be driving from LA to San Francisco in June/July which is during our 1st wedding anniversary. We want to spend our anniversary night at a romantic inn/hotel along the coast where we can enjoy fine dining. Is there such a place or should we plan to be in LA or San Francisco for our anniversary dinner? Any other suggestions to make this trip most memorable would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Nancy,
I'm from Germany and we spent a night at the Madonna Inn in San Louis Obispo. It was realy a crazy hotel. There a theme rooms like a cave or so. Enjoy your trip it's a very interesting way from LA to San Francisco!
Ingrid

Nancy,
The Madonna Inn is really moe camp than romantic. There are a lot of romantic inns along the coast. I would check karenbrown.com for her suggestions. She is very reliable.

If you can afford an expensive place, by all means, Ventana Resort in Big Sur is THE place. Great rooms, fabulous scenic coastal views, knock-your-socks-off dining on sight. It's expensive and popular, though, so I'd call sooner rather than later for a reservation.

Also, nearby Post Ranch is popular. Similarly luxurious and pricy.

L
