As you can see, I love to shop! What are good stylish jean (brands like Seven, Diesel) stores in LA or its area? I've heard of Fred Segal and Kitson, but are there others?

Tracy Ross (on Robertson) has tons of trendy jeans. Again, if you go there, you will find more stores like that in the same area. Fred's is good (go to the one in Santa Monica)

I like Earl Jeans.

How are the Urban Outfitters/Diesel stores around the LA area? Are any locations particularly better than others? Also, are the UO/Diesel stores any better than other locations nationally? Thanks for your help.

Try Filene's Basement near the Beverly Center for designer jeans. Or maybe it's a Loehmann's - I can't remember. But they have some great jeans for super cheap - Earl Jeans for $30!

YOu also might just head over to the Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica. I know there's an Urban Outfitters (quite large one, too), and a Diesel store, as well as Guess!, French Connection UK, Banana Republic (mothership store), Tommy Hilfiger, Abercrombie and Fitch, American Eagle, etc., etc., etc.
