LA airport hotel suggestion ?

Does anyone know of a reasonably priced hotel at or near the airport for an overnight stay ?

Four Points LAX is nice, HaciendaHOtel.com and travelodgeLAX.com are cheap, decent, and nearby.....foghornhotel.com is just minutes away in Marina Del Rey and right at the ocean.

How do you define reasonable? To some it is $500 and others $50. There are "motel" like accommodations near LAX, i.e. Travelodge but personally I would not stay in them (I like interior hallways for one thing). The Hacienda is rather old and dingy, we stayed there once years ago and vowed never again. Check out Sheraton Four Points, but be aware they also have a section that is "motel-ish" with ourside corridors. We stayed in the hotel section and it was fine (large room, plain and ordinary but clean) Stay away from Quality Inn (dump). They all run shuttles to/from the airport by the way.

Even if it is just one night I'd opt for something like Hilton, Westin, Radisson, even Holiday Inn .. just do a search for LAX hotels and you will see a list.

Last November we had an early morning flight out of LAX and stayed at the Holiday Inn-International Airport (Phone 310-649-5151) for $89.00 + 14% tax. They have shuttle service to the airport, and a restaurant and bar. The food was okay, but convenient as we had no car. It worked for us.

Two years ago we had to stay at LAX for one night. I went on Priceline and got Embassy Suites (3*) for $41. On the free shuttle to the hotel, a man said that he just got a room for $140. It was a very good place for the night, including a free drink and snacks for happy hour, and breakfast.

I have become a Priceline devotee for this kind of situation, where you need a reasonable hotel for a reasonable price. Have you tried Priceline? ((*))
