L.A. w/a 17 yr. old
 

We are going to L.A. next week and the only plans we have are to see USC (my son is a senior in high school).

Does anyone know of a restaurant near USC to have lunch? Also any other suggestions for sightseeing/restaurants in the LA/Hollywood area?

You can have some authentic Mexican food at La Barca on Vermont--about a mile or so away from campus and a USC student favorite.

Another L.A. institution: www.originaltommys.com. The Beverly & Rampart location is also a favorite of USC students.

If you go to Tommy's be sure to take some Tums, Rolaids, etc. The chiliburgers and chilifries are delicious, but may cause heartburn:)
