KOA rental car pick-up - late- nothing open?
 

I was just on the avis web site and I was trying to check prices, my flight comes in at 9:30pm and the web site tells me that they are closed. How does this work?

Don't rely on the info posted on their website. Get a local number for the KOA Avis office, call them and ask your question directly.

ccalhoun: We called both Hertz and Avis and found they both close early at KOA (about 9:30pm if I remember correctly), and our American flight landed much later. Budget stays open later, however, at least till you have landed if you have a reservation! Good luck!

Yes, we also used Budget since we were on that late AA flight.

WHY is American the only airline that does that late flight?!?! On my return, I had to go back OUT of security to get a bottle of water because all of the stores inside were already closed!

We are flying from LAX and get in at 9:38 PM, I'll try budget and maybe call the other companies and see what there hours are, our outbound flight doesn't leave til 11:30pm at night, I hope I don't have to have my car there before 9:30pm to return it!

I only know KOA to be a campground!

Since KOA only has offsite car rental locations, you probably will have to have the car back before closing in order to have a shuttle back to the airport. It would be walkable but a rather long walk and the gate may not be open.
