Kids Activities in Phoenix

Does anyone have suggestions for children's activities in Phoenix?

Why not go to the Special Interest Board, there is a topic called traveling with kids.
But for a great childrens' activity, try nature walks, hike, etc. Canyon exploring, history of the area. Educational and fun, what more do ya want!!

Susie, Here are a few ideas: the Phoenix Zoo, Rawhide (in Scottsdale) - a "cowboy town", and Out of Africa Wildlife Park - in Fountain Hills (maybe 1/2 hr - 1 hr drive from Phoenix) - definitely worth it.

Out of Africa is very good and quite different.

For amusement places, there is Jeepers, Fiddlesticks, and Crackerjax

What ages?

It would help to know your childrens' ages. Some other suggestions:
Arizona Science Museum, horseback riding, McCormick Railroad Park, Botanical Gardens.
Susie - I second the Rawhide idea... its an old western town with shows, shops and a BBQ Steakhouse... kids can "pan for gold" (painted pebbles), see how a cowboy town worked, and enjoy the western experience... My kids loved the experience even more than the Zoo.
