Keystone or Telluride with Children

Which of these places is more kid friendly. We will be traveling with 5 & 11 yr. old. I was originally planning on keystone, but Telluride looks like it could be more of what we are looking for.

Jane, What exactly are you looking for? Personally, I love Keystone and it's great for kids. A million things to do. But I've never been to Telluride. Are you talking about winter? What activities do you want? What kind of accommodations?

Hi Jane. Re think Keystone, they are offering a "kids ski free" program this year. Not sure of age restrictions but maybe a good deal if they do not raise condo prices. You might check out www.summitnet.com to get an idea of condo prices without the offer.

Keystone is known for being kid friendly more so than Telluride.

I'm sorry we will be going in Jan. We really don't care to ski, we are more interested in other activities (tubing, ice skating, sleigh rides). Would also like to see attractions nearby. We will probaly rent a car but we don't want to spend alot of time on the road.

Definitely Keystone. Plus it is more convienient to Denver which might be where you will fly into. Keystone is close to Breckenridge which is a world class resort town. The area will have all that you are looking for. Telluride is wonderful also but kind of out there by itself.

Keystone has a wonderful assortment of condos for rent. They are often cheaper than the hotel accommodations and perfect for family relaxing. Check out their website and then call the 800 number and ask them to do a better deal for you than you got quoted on the website. They can also arrange travel at a reduced price. A couple of weeks ago United quoted $330 on the web and I got a flight through Keystone reservations for $240.

Definitely Keystone.

Thank you all so much for the advice. What about any attractions close by within driving distance? Anything that we shouldn't miss.
