Since when did the Heron House start catering to gay couples? I thought it was more for honeymooners. Did they change owners?

I have been to the Heron House twice in the last 2 years with my wife....and I have not seen or heard anything that would lead me to believe that they cater to "the alternative lifestyle"(not that it would matter to me , either). I find it to be a very lovely place to stay with an excellent staff and would highly recommend it.

lonepalm757

Prior to visiting Key West I have generally done some web research on accomodations. It seems that places which specifically cater to gay men or women make that very clear on their websites. If for any reason you're uncertain, just go to www.keywestparadise.com and check the gay/lesbian listings. They have a complete listing of places that have chosen to target specific markets for vacation travelers.

I didn't mean to start a riot (I get enough of that from the Soup Nazi).
But according to the book "Hidden Florida Keys and Everglades", the Heron House has a large alternative lifestyle clientele. In addition, an alternative lifestyle friend of mine stayed there last yesr and confirmed that nugget of info. But it is a beautiful place. I may stay there one day. Like I said: "There's nothing wrong with that."

Regarding this gay, heron house dispute, after much research my husband and I {straight),have chosen, this lovely inn for our 1st trip to Key West,I don't care what the clientele is , anyone going to Key West and has a problem with this issue should not be choosing Key West to start with!
