Pam - My husband and I and another couple stayed at Key West Harbor Inn in March, 2001. Found it on the internet and just took a chance. It was a real find! It was absolutely delightful. Hard to describe - not elegent - very eclectic. Lovely grounds - rooms very nicely done. The hosts, Steve and Alex, were wonderful. Breakfasts were delicious - several kinds of coffee, lots of fresh fruit, sweet rolls, fresh baked bread - all served around the pool. Happy hour was good too, not just beer and wine- full bar, cheese & crackers, etc. The location was great, too, right at the harbor - go by the seafood market, pick up some fresh, boiled shrimp, bring it back and enjoy lunch around the pool. We're planning another trip for April, 2002 - have checked posts for other places to stay (just out of curiousity). Some of the places mentioned sound very nice and maybe more elegant but we're still staying at the Harbor Inn. Felt like it was a true representative of the "Key West Atmosphere". Enjoy!
