Key West for a day
 

hello.. staying in Key Largo for a night and doing a day trip down to Key west. Never been.. any tips ? Great places for a Margarita ?!?! with atmosphere ! What are some NOT to miss places ! Thanks for the tips

My list of Do Not Miss in Key West:

Fast Buck Freddie's for shopping

Blue Heaven for breakfast or brunch

Captain Tony's for a beer

Green Parrott to hang with the locals for a beer

Mallory Square for the Sunset Freakshow

Kino Sandals for a great pair of $9 leather handmade flip flops made by fifth generation Cubans.

Blond Giraffe for Key Lime Pie.

Key West isn't for a day trip...spend a night there!

thanks for the great ideas !! sounds like a fun time.. especially since it all revolves around food and drinks !! any thoughts on jimmy buffets place ? hubby would like to find that.. it's in key largo !?? !!

Margaritaville is in Key West on Duval. In my opinion, it's nothing special - I wouldn't go there again.

A lot of driving for a day, particularly if you'll be hitting some margaritas. Plan to stay and have your margarita @ sunset on Mallory Square.

Mangoes for lunch, or BO's Fish Wagon. Pepes for breakfast.
