Key West, FL Hotels/Accomodation
 

Friends,

We are off to Key West during the 4th July weekend and are done with flight, car rental and Miami Hotel reservations.

We are unable to find any decent budget hotel at key west within a budget of $120 per room/night.

We need 2 rooms. Appreciate if anyone has info on any hidden keywest accomodations :)

I'm not very familiar with Key West hotels but that seems like it may be a tall order. One option may be a condo from vrbo.com You could check out Parmers Resort www.parmersresort.com). It's 25 miles from Key West and near Bahia Honda State Park. Also very convenient to dive Looe Key. Some of the units have kitchens, which would be nice with the kids. Fourth of July will fill up so get reservations somewhere and keep looking.

There is an inn called the Ambrosia where we were going to stay this spring based on a recommendation from some friends who stayed there and loved it. We had to cancel our trip for now but plan to stay there as soon as we can get away. It's very quaint and supposedly has a very nice pool area and a good location. Their rates for that time frame are a little higher than you're looking for ($149) seems to be the lowest. Here is the website

Ambrosia (and Ambrosia, Too) both get great reviews, as does the Island City House. Two less expensive hotels that are very popular are the Best Western Hibiscus and the Southernmost Hotel. Try one of those!

Thanks - just saw your messages. I finally did get Sheraton Suites Key West at a $199/night and this was shere luck I should say because the website listing was at $359. Some link on their website got me to this rate. And this includes breakfast, free bottle of wine and cheese :). Sounds like a promotion.

I also did get Sheraton Bal Harbour Beach Resort @ Miami for the rest of the stay at $99 a night. I was surpised with this stay as well. But this one I got from Hotwire.

That's it...All travel arrangements done - just waiting to get going :)
