Do please tell me and advise me on current fashion in Key West. I will be heading directly there from upstate NY as I am visiting my new show horse. Please suggest a fine plane riding outfit and book. **smooch**

Bikini and riding boots.

Body paint is all the rage right now in Key West along with feathers, glitter, and leather bikinis.

Required reading is The Florida Keys by Joy Williams and Liberace! by Liberace.

I think your riding crop with the bikini and boots, would be the perfect fashion accessorie!!!!

Shorts and tee shirts are status quo for every destination in the Keys. If you are going to a nice place, wear a nicer tee shirt.

For me a t-shirt with a pocket is semi formal.

I regret to inform you that robes are NOT in, in Key West.

T-shirts are fine. And at the right time and the right place, wet t-shirts are even better.

Do the terms "Key West" and "current fashion" even go together. Would that be an oxymoron?

"Key West fashion" is an oxymoron. One can wear whatever ... the antithesis of "fashion."

I'd say anything that displays your skin cancer is de riguer, from my experience in Key West.

T-shirt, shorts, jeans or khaki's... and the quintessential flip-flops! If you want to shake things up a bit, wear a sundress with matching flip-flops!

As for the book... anything by Ernest Heminway should do just fine.
