Key West Courtyard by Marriott

Has anyone stayed at the Courtyard by Marriot on Duval Street before? I will be there in December with friends who say it is great.

Just returned from Key West a week ago. I don't think there's a Courtyard by Marriott on Duval, I think it's on Roosevelt. That would mean having to drive or take a shuttle to get to 'Old Town'. It certainly wouldn't be my choice on where to stay.

According to the Courtyard website, there are TWO properties on Roosevelt in Key West. None on Duval. Both KW properties are listed as 1.5-2.0 miles from Duval, which is way too far out.

As the other posters note, there's no Courtyard by Marriott on Duval. I'd advise you to find something in Old Town, as the properties on Roosevelt are FAR from the action.

Find a nice B&B closer to downtown...there's a ton of great ones. Whatever you do, you HAVE to try a Mojito. It's a drink with rum, fresh lime and mint leaves. It's to die for and the best ones are at the bar right on Mallory Square (can't remember name but it looks sort of Spanish with an outdoor bar.

I believe the name of that bar/restaurant that makes the mojitos at Mallory Square is El Meson de Pepe or something at least close to that.....lol

Lonepalm757
