key west B&B myths

I've not stayed at one "B&B" in Key West that served breakfast of any kind or had a common kitchen or dining area...Nearly all of the "B&B"'s in KW are just large victorian homes (guest houses) or COMPOUNDS of large victorian homes with private rooms of various sizes and styles. at various prices .... If you're interested in a" true B&B atmosphere"...ask when you call the guesthouse.I have never seen it in Key West. Think HOTEL in OLD HOUSE...in TROPICS....that's what you get in Key West.

I've only stayed in three B&Bs in Key West but they all served breakfast. In fact, I'll be staying at a fourth, Bananas Foster, in June. They also serve breakfast, so I'll be 4 for 4!

We stayed at Heron House and had not only a breakfast served, but also wine and cheese every night around sunset. Lovely!

Perhaps the original poster has only stayed at guest houses and not B&Bs. By definition, guest houses may or may not serve breakfast while I think a B&B really is obliged to have SOME kind of breakfast! I find the post strange, especially since two other people have immediately said they received breakfast! Another troll!!

All the posters before me have explain the correct response! The last poster about the "TROLL" is a great answer. Some B&B's even offer you wine when you check-in, others have a small cocktail hour!

One more to the chorus. I've always received breakfast at Key West B&Bs. Some were quite divine while others a basic croissant and coffee. "bnbheaven" doesn't pick these places very well! :-)
