key west and islamorada help!

three girls are flying to orlando and traveling the coast we have most or the arrangements except for key west and islamorada.. although we have been to key west MANY MANY times we have never stopped at isla... we are in all 30 looking to more or less party.. we all have children, so this is a ,mental break! I have heard negative post about the Holiday in Islamorada so where would you suggest... did i say we wanted to party but not at the expence of smelling vomit! ANY SUGGESTIONS?

Avoid staying at the Holiday Isle and book the Hampton Inn on Islamorada...then you will have a decent base to party from at a reasonable room rate... If you're not on a budget, consider Cheeca Lodge.

You may consider the Tiki Hut at Holiday Isle as a party spot and its a short drive from Hampton or Cheeca...

yeah, wouldn;t stay at the Holiday Isle, but certainly not bad for a few drinks. Morada Bay, across the street from the Cheeca Lodge has a fun sunset celebration...adirondack chairs, light music...cold drinks....fun time.

Actually, I think Holiday Isle (which was formerly party central) is being converted to condos. We stayed at the Cheeca Lodge and it was very nice. But for major partying, you need to head on down to Key West!

I would not expect to party in Islamorada. Rest, relax and recoup for the partying in Key West.

Love Islamorada, but do not consider it a place for partying. Several nice places to chill and have cocktails...Green Flash on the first floor of Pierre's (next to Morada Bay), Zane Grey Lounge, Papa Joe's is a fun place to hang out for sunset-lots of locals, used to love Lorelei but haven't been since renovation. Lazy Days is great for seafood. I would definitely recommend a sunset cruise with Captain Joe on the Nautilimo www.nautilimo.com Captain Joe is great and you can bring drinks/food-goofy, and very very FUN. My husband and I usually spend a few days in Islamorada to relax in combination with a trip to Key West.
