Key Largo water temp in December/January?

Will be in Key Largo December/January and wondering about water temp for scuba and snorkeling. Should we bring our 4 mil wetsuits? Will that be too thick? Please advise and thank you. Robert

I am not sure of the temps, but I always wear my wet suits for diving when near coral. Here in SW Fla, the water can get into the high 50's in deep winter...in the Keys about 8 degrees higher,, they are near the Gulfstream, we are not. Judy

I would opt for the wet suit as well. As your trip approaches this site should give you the information that you need:

Thanks, RobertoB; great site. It's 84 degrees water temp right now. I'm sure it'll drop some by December/January. Robert
