Folks: This is worth visiting. The best exhibit shows Adam Hatfield's first encounter with Eve McCoy. I picked up a button that says "Say No To Book Learnin'" It just goes to show that Ohioans are wrong in thinkin' those from Kentucky are hillbillies.

Holy cow. It's all over the news....exhibitions of dinosaurs grazing alongside humans. Look at the "news" link and scroll down. Looks more like an Overeaters Anonymous meeting to me.
btw woody...it's dangerously close to the Ohio state line. They include it in the "Greater Cincinnati" are so be careful about those hillbilly remarks. One very small natural disaster will have it sittin' in Ohio! Remember Xenia? Whoooooooooshhhhhh

Woody, it is no longer politically correct to say hillbillies. The proper terminology is Applachian Americans.

No. It would be rude if they were facing the camera and I called them by name without 'evening" knowing them, lol.

That didn't make sense but if you think calling a room full of people fat isn't rude (especially when it had nothing to do with the point of the OP)then I guess we will just disagree.

I'll admit I've said a thing or two about Rosie's weight so I'm not all peachy clean but what you said was just low and dirty.

I assume nobody else on this forum will back me up because of the people's views that you insulted but I didn't want it to go unnoticed.

Frankandbeans, you freely admitted to making comments about Rosie's weight, so stop hassling LLindaC about her Overeaters Anon comment. I looked at the attached picture and there's no denying the obvious.

I took my family in July 07. I originally planned to bypass it when traveling between the Kentucky Horse Park and Cedar Point Ohio because these places can be rather amateurishly done. Upon deciding one day at the Horse park was enough I decided to make the museum a stop even though the $20.00 a person seemed steep. (a $5.00 discount at the gate made it $15.00)

It opened at 10:00 am and when we arrived at 10:30 the place was packed already. We entered and heard or read to allow about 4 hours to see it. It took us 4 ½ hours and we still did not read everything we could have. The place is a first rate modern museum and worth the money. My kids were captivated.

Basically science is presented/interpreted from a creation perspective. I could say quite a bit but I will only say this:
A video shows 2 men working on a fossil dig. One is asked how it came about. He said I believe the animal died, dried in the sun and slowly was buried over thousands of years. The camera pans to the second digger. He says he believes that a catastrophic event such as Noah’s flood caused these fossil events. They both have a starting reference point of assumptions from which interpretations are made. The Museum interprets “science” from the creation reference and it does not lack credibility. Nothing wives tale, UFO or Bigfootish about the place.
It also addresses the “ya buts" that prove? Creation could not possibly have happened” The presentation of Mt. Saint Helens is a good rebuttal tool against such “ya buts”

A worthy stop on any trip.
