Kenai Fiord Trip Menu - Starch?
I've been looking at Kenai Tours lunch menus from Seward. Please, why would I eat starch? How would it be prepared so that a tour company would advertise it in their menu, presumably to attract customers?
To me, Down Under, it's something my mother boiled up to make my Dad's collars stiff, which now I can buy in a spray can. I really would like to know |

I agree. It does seem a bit odd to list "starch" instead of potato/rice/pasta.

I assume they put it that way because there won't be a choice, it will be whatever they serve that day. Same with "Vegetable".

would you consider a longer cruise and eating a box lunch while the boat is moving? All I can remember is deep fried halibut and later chocolate chip cookies but you'll see more wildlife and glaciers if you go on the longer route. We were lucky with very calm seas but if ocean is rough, you might not feel like eating a big dinner.

if you go with major marine tours they offer a salmon and prime rib meal for only $19 all you can eat, and for a buffet its quite good. As mentioned when they list starch they just want it to be flexible as they will not offer a choice.
