Kayaking in Maui

Anybody did kayaking in Maui? With what companies? How many people are there in a group, how safe is it for people like me (who did it once in my life)?
Sorry if there is already a post on this topic, I couldn't find it.
Thanks everybody!

I went last year with Maui Eco Tours. They have different levels. I think there were 6 kayaks (12 people) in our group. I got seasick as did my friend, but the guides were really good and everyone who didn't get sick had a good time.

I didn't even know one could get seasick while kayaking :(

Yup! Someone on our tour years ago got seasick. I told him the best thing to do was get in the water to get his equilibrium back. Problem was, as our quide realized, I forgot to tell him to take the life jacket off. Good advice gone bad.

I didn't think it was possible myself, I had rented a kayak from a hotel and was out for about 1/2 hour on a previous trip and was fine. Molikini trips haven't worked so well for me either. I've learned that I'm a snorkel from the shore kind of girl.

bggirl, did you kayak on your own? how this experience was different from the tours? would you definitely recommend taking a tour or do you think we could just rent a kayak and go out by ourselves?
