Kauai--which rental company?

We're looking at a Kauai condo that's offered through three different rental companies--Remax Kauai, Makana Vacations, or Ahh Aloha. Any opinions on which is the best of the three? Are all three generally reputable companies?

Thanks

I don't know those agencies, but keep in mind that while it is the same condo complex, I doubt that it is the exact same condo. Is it possible to see pictures or get a very detailed description of the condo - decor, position in the complex, ocean view, ocean front, etc? Sometimes a specific agency will handle most of the rentals while the other companies may handle only 1 or 2 specific units. Condos can widely vary within the same complex. Someone may furnish theirs with garage sale items, while others are beautifully maintained. If location matters to you, then it's important to know the specific building and unit location.

Thanks--that's a good point but in this case it is the exact same condo. We looked at pictures from a variety of specific units in Pali Ke Kua, and based on photos, plus the criteria you describe (view, furnishings, locations, etc.) we settled on one specific 2nd floor, bluff-front unit. This same unit number is offered through 3 different rental agencies, so now it's just a matter of deciding which agency to reserve with. Just checking in to see if anyone here has a recommendation on which company would be our best bet.

We're staying at Pali Ke Kua in June and renting directly from the owner. Many of the owners list with multiple agencies and also list their units through vrbo.com. You can often save paying the agency markup by dealing direct. We've used vrbo on our two previous stays in Princeville and have been very happy with what we got.

Julie304:
If you decide to use one of the rental agencies mentioned, I'd suggest that you choose Remax Kaua`i. They're also a real estate company, so will be more inclined to go "the extra mile" for you, if anything negative comes up.

I'm a resident of Kaua`i -- have never heard of Makana Aloha or Ahh Aloha, BTW.
