There is also an Embassy Suites just a few blocks from Dupont Circle. I stayed there last April, and would recommend it, especially if you are travelling with children. I don't know anything about the two hotels you mentioned.

Jury's is right on the Circle, Westin two blocks away at 21st Street. They are about equidistant from the Metro station. I can't think of an obvious advantage to either, but I only walk past them. Embassy Suites (22nd and N) is about 5 blocks from the Circle.

I agree that they are equally excellent locations. I havn't stayed at either but think the Westin Embassy Row might be slightly more upscale. Have you looked at tripadvisor.com reviews?

What the heck, I'm not working anyway.

Here are 79 personal reviews of the Westin - http://tinyurl.com/yzmcwr

and 174 reviews of Jurys Washington - http://tinyurl.com/yc49mx

They are both equally convenient, but if they really are the same rate, I'd probably pick the Westin. I just think it's supposed to be a nicer/classier hotel -- it looks it and used to be, anyway. But, you never know, some hotels can have rundown rooms and I think Jurys refurbished not too long ago, so I could be wrong, that would just be my guess. Jury's has some faux Irish bar in the bottom, if that appeals or not to you. The Westin has more history attached to it and is more impressive from the outside. I kind of like that it's off from Dupont Circle in a more sedate area, also (near the Phillips).
