kauai rental

Looking for cottage or similar on east or south Kauai. Walking distance to beach or oceanfront. Looking from Wailua south to Poipu. Privacy important, rental for two. Personal experience please....the vrbo and other websites are overwhelming.

January 08 is our target visit.

Thanks.

Try this one -- he breaks it down by area, style (cottage vs. condo) and price:

Thanks. I have seen the alternative-hawaii site but still would like to get response from someone who has stayed in one of the rental units.

Anyone recently stayed in Moonrise or Sunrise. The only reviews I have seen are very old.

How about 17 palms vacation cottages?

or Hale Pohaka near Poipu?

Any place that you thought was great and would return to again and again.....I would like to check into. Thanks!

Good luck with your search BJ.

All I can offer is that I have rented half a dozen cottages on Kauai thru different sites and have never been dissappointed.

When you find something you like, try googling the name of the rental and other reports may come up.

It has been my blissful experience that as far as websearching and renting in Kauai - what you see is what you get and then some.

Safe happy journey! Never turn your back on the ocean!

I rented a beautiful house in Princeville called Keoniana Kai. It has three bedrooms and is on an ocean bluff.

I think imaq rented a one bedroom house in Hanalei that he highly recommends. I think it is called Plantation Cottage.

I remember reading a Travel magazine article about 17 Palms...Got great reviews!
