Kauai--new Marriott in Poipu
 

I've seen where a new Marriott Waiohai Beach Club is to open in 2003 in Poipu. Does anyone know if it would be ready by March, if it'll be a hotel & condos, or any other info? Thanks!

2003 usually means ready in late October/November ready for the holidays in December. Contact Marriott and ask them.

It is going to be a timeshare..will have small and large units.

We were on Kauai the first two weeks in August and that construction site looks like the construction is just beginning on some of the buildings (reinforced concrete was being poured etc.). It is advertised heavily on local TV as timeshare units. I doubt that it will be ready by March. End of 2003 is a better estimate.

I have a friend who purchased a timeshare there. She is going to be staying in mid-march of 2003 so I'm assuming that it should be partially done.

Just back. Marriott is now saying completion of Poipu Resort will be in 2004. Sept/Oct issue of Hawaii Magazine has great article on Poipu and resort developments.
