Can you tell me about the Marriott in Kauai. The book write-ups look good. Thanks

I stayed there a couple of years ago - freebie. The only negative is the location. Nice rooms, great pool, 2 good golf courses, OK reataurants, beach but the beach is on the cruise ship harbor not teh ocean. The pool is great. The Hyatt in Poipu is the prettiest property on Kauai. <BR>The Marriott was a Weston b4 Iniki( The Hurricane) and it took 2-3 years to rebuild.

We stayed at the Marriott Kauaii last Dec for one week. It is lovely in every way. It is secluded with a beach that was wonderful for our teenaged boys to boogie board safely. It is central to the airport and the Hyatt down south. The staff and people were very friendly. My only complaint was that in December the pool was very cold! <BR> <BR>Andrea

Stayed at this hotel a few months ago. It is every bit as nice as the guidebooks describe. The beach it sits on is not as pretty as at the Hyatt and some other places on the island, but it is no longer the harbor for the cruiseships--in fact, it is very tranquil. The restauants in the hotel (there are 3 not including the Sushi bar) are very good and you can walk to one or two others that adjoin the property. The rooms, the pool and spas, the service...all excellent! <BR>

We just got back from the Marriott last week. The bay was great for children to boogie board, not to rough. The Marriott is located almost in the middle of the drivable part of the island, so you can head out either direction to see to sights. There are some other beaches real close if you desire that. We loved the pool and restraunts were great. Have fun. <BR>
