Kauai - Lydgate Beach question
 

I was checking the Kauai Revealed updates online and saw this:

'The county recently decided to "fix" the enclosed ponds at Lydgate Beach Park by dredging the bottom to make them deeper. The result has been pretty disastrous to visibility and we'd recommend snorkelers avoid it for the time being.'

Anyone been there recently? Was it OK? Do you think it will be fine by October?

We LOVED that beach when we where there last year and are hoping to spend a lot more time there again this year.

Hoping someone sees this.

We dropped by in mid-June and the ponds were not inviting. Very murky looking.

Thank you wtm003. Sorry to hear that. Maybe there's a chance it could better in October...

We just got back from there last week, the water is a little murky but I could still see some fish. A local told me he thought it would maybe take another month to clear up.
