Kauai Luaus for kids
I’ve been reading all about the various luaus available in Kauai. We arrive late at night on Thursday and were thinking of taking our 9 year-old to Smith’s on Friday evening. (Yes, they have availability.) I remember hearing about specials offering one child free. Which luaus are offering the special and do we need a special coupon? We are flexible as to which one we choose and what night to go and appreciate any recommendations.
I appreciate all the tips I’ve already gained from this board! |
This is the site for their luau and other things (River Cruise, etc.).
www.smithskauai.com Other info if you do a search: smith's family luau There is a coupon in 'This Week Kauai' for Smith's Family Luau through Royal Hawaiian Destinations & Tours for $10 off per couple. Also an ad for Kauai's Favorite Luau for $22/per couple. That is through Activity Warehouse or travelhawaii.com or 1-800-688-0580. Also one for www.activityworld.com for Kauai's Best Hawaiian Luau. $49 open bar. Neither says the name of the luau. But, I'm sure you can get the name from their websites. Also try these sites for more options: www.gohawaii.com www.spotlighthawaii.com (Kauai Gold) www.thisweek.com (This Week Kauai) www.101thingtodo.com (101 Things Kauai) Pick up hard copies of some of them at the airport baggage area. |
Dusty,
Thanks for all the tips. I've already checked out a few of the web sites. I called Smith's and they also give a AAA discount so I think we'll go ahead and book that. |
JAK, the AAA discount is in addition to the free child admission?
|
No, there was no free child admission there -- only the 10% AAA discount. Does anyone know how to get the free child discount?

There is also a coupon in the Entertainment Book for Kauai Coconut Beach Luau, 25% off up to 4 persons.
If you don't have an Entertainment Book and want to go to this luau, I can send my coupon to you at the hotel you will be staying. In my first post I noticed an error. For one of the luaus I mentioned 'for Kauai's Favorite Luau, it should be 'save $22 per couple', not '$22 per couple'. |
