My husband and I cannot decide whether to stay at the Princeville Resort or The Hyatt. Luxurious hotels really make the trip successful or not in my opinion. We are going in September for 5 days and want to relax, enjoy the setting and good food. We like the sun a lot also, but are from Florida so a little cloudy and rainy weather wouldn't be too bad. But if it were gloomy and the Southern part of the Island had a better chance of good weather, we will probably opt for the South. You are just who I needed, Thank you!

Dear Rich, Hello! My fiancee' and I will be in Kauai from MAy 28- June 3rd. We have posted a few times and got some much appreciated advice, but are interested in as many recommendations as possible to help in our plannig as we have never been to Hawaii. If you have any suggestions on hikes, tours, not too pricey restuarants etc., it would be of great help. We are staying at a condo on the North shore, but will have a rental car to explore all of the island. Thanks!

Rich: My wife and I are planning to go to Kauai for the first time and renew our wedding vows. I'm looking for a beautiful place, plus some help figuring out who could help in the coordination...perhaps the hotel or resort where we are staying? Perhaps a wedding coordinator on the island. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Rich: My wife and I are going to Kauai for the first time in July to renew our wedding vows. I'm looking for a beautiful and romantic location. Plus, who would I work with to coordinate the event? The hotel? A wedding coordinator on the island? Any help would be appreciated.

Rich,

We will be going to Kauai in two weeks and only have one thing planned and that is a waterfall lunch flight with Inter-Island Air. What else should we do, we will only be there for 3 days.

Beth :)
Just got back from Hawaii (5 days on Kauai and 5 days on Maui). Stayed at the Princeville on Kauai and absolutely loved it. It was our second trip to the island and will definitely stay at the Princeville when we go back. Rain wasn't a problem at all. I agree with a prior poster that the rain seems to be limited to the mountains (which are closer to Princeville area than to Poipu). The real nice thing about Princeville is that you have spectacular water and mountain views from your room and the lobby is breathtaking. Food at the restaurant was also quite good, and priced fairly given the quality and the meal costs at other good restaurants throughout the island. Went to dinner in Poipu area a couple of nights, and it is a good hour to 75 minutes drive each way, but the drive is easy and the roads are scenic, well-marked and of good quality.

Hi Rich!
Help! We're going to Kauai for the first week in July for our honeymoon. The North shore sounds like a good fit for us - but I'm not sure where to stay. The Princeville is out of our range. I've read mixed reviews on Hanalei Bay Resort - especially just now on the "Rants And Raves." I'm a little nervous about just picking a condo off the internet. We'd like a nice condo for around $200/250 a night. Any suggestions? Thanks, Elaine
