Kauai in August
 

What side of the island (northshore or southshore) is better in August? @ adults and 2 kids 9 and 11. Looking for a house or cottage on/near the beach.....Any recommendations....Thanks

We were in Kauai last August with 7, 9, and 11-year-old kids. We preferred the north shore by a long shot. We stayed at the Hanalei Bay Resort, so I can't help with rental houses, but there are plenty of them in Hanalei and Princeville. Our kids loved the pool at Hanalei Bay Resort.
