kauai hotel choice: marriott kauai or hyatt
hi. i booked as of right now, marriott kauai for 4 nights in august and then 6 at the kea lani. both of these hotels have a deal for breakfast and a car included. A room at the Hyatt opened up for the first 4 nights in KAuai. (it was all booked up when i first made the reservation). The room at the Hyatt, will be $$400 more the the 4 nights and then no breakfast included. I have been thinking about switching because everyone has been raving about the hyatt for honeymooners. does anyone think that it will be worth it to change hotels, or do you think just a drive to the hyatt would be enough to see it. How's the marriott? thanks for you help in advance. just trying to make our honeymoon perfect!

Hyatt is closer to Poipu Beach, as discussed in response to your earlier post::S-

The Hyatt would be the ultimate resort destination. It is worth the extra $$$. A drive to see it would only make you want you to stay there.

There is no comparison between the Hyatt and the Marriott. Go for the Hyatt.

No question, the Hyatt. (It's worth the extra $400 for the pool alone!)

I'm not familiar with the Marriot but the Hyatt is very nice and I love their spa. I've stayed there a couple of times and my only concern is that in August it will be VERY busy with children. Don't expect a quiet honeymoon experience.
The hotel is popular with families because there's an artificial lagoon style pool and wonderful slides in the other pool (great for adults too. On our last trip my huaband and I went just after Labour Day and it was very quiet, much more honeymoon like. Hope that helps. |
