Kauai: Flights into Kauai or Oahu?
 

Please help! I have finally decided to spend my week vacation in Kauai. In an older post I read that there were direct flights into Kauai from San Francisco. Is this still the case? I checked airlines and could not find any flights except into Oahu. If this is the case, I am thinking of spending 2 nights in Oahu. Please help with any information on things to do while in Oahu and where to stay. Thanks for all of your help!

United has some direct flights from SF to Lihue, but I'm guessing only on certain days of the week.

There's tons to do on Oahu. With two days I think a trip to Pearl Harbor (if that's something you want to do) and a visit to the North Shore would be musts.

Hawaiian Air flys non-stop between SF and Lihue. They also have a sale on San Jose to Honolulu, but the non-stop is probably cheaper.

Interesting...my earlier post about America West's newly-announced direct flights from Phoenix (to Honolulu & Kahului, starting in December; to Lihu`e, starting in March) never made it to this website.

I didn't click on it before. I glanced at the title, and thought hmmm, Air West must be a new airline serving Hawaii :)

swtjen7: We booked a direct flight from LAX to Kauai on ATA (directly from their website). I think they may fly direct from SF, too.
