Kauai buffet for nice Christmas dinner

Anyone have any ideas? Will be for about a group of seven, mainly seniors, and they love buffets!!

However, they don't enjoy too fancy type foods, more the usual buffet fare.

Something in the Kapaa through Lihue area would be preferable.

Thanks for the suggestions.

You might want to call Gaylord's. They have buffet breakfasts and brunches, so they might have a buffet at Christmas.

Might the Marriott in Lihue have a Christmas buffet?

That's all I got...

The Ilima Terrace at the Grand Hyatt in Poipu has a daily breakfast buffet. Maybe they will be opened for a Christmas Buffet. Might give them a call

If the place is open on Christmas, then I would recommend Hanamaulu Teahouse in Hanamaulu (sort of between Lihue and Kapaa). Please google the name and call regarding opening and reservations. It is a lovely family-owned establishment, which serves a terrific buffet to mainly local residents.

I would venture out to guess that hotel buffets would be way too costly for a senior on a fixed income. Example: a New Years Eve Buffet at the Grand Hyatt last year was around $80/person. Too stiff for most seniors I know.

Yes, of course that is not what they are looking for. That was held in the Grand Ballroom and included a NYE Party.

Not everyone staying in the hotels requires that, so perhaps some of the smaller restaurants in the hotels will also be open.

Thanks for the suggestions.

We love Gaylord's but that may be a little too pricey for this group if they do have a buffet.

I did not know that Hanamaulu Cafe had a buffet.

I'll give some of these places a call.
