Kauai-Any personal experince with these condos?
I am planning a July trip to Kauai and have narrowed my choices to the following 3 condos:
Aston Kauai Villas, Wailea Bay View, or BW Plantation Hale. Can anyone give me any insight into these to help me make my choice?
Thanks
Josie

When we were there in September I did notice the Wailea Bay View. Though it is right on the ocean it is right on the main road. If I were considering staying there I would definitely want to know where my unit was located in relation to the road. I understand that you can get pretty good deals at the Wailea Bay View.

I suggest doing a post where people can see from post heading what you are looking for. If you have never been to Kauai my favorite place to stay is in Hanalei. Most of the wonderful stuff is in the surrounding area. Areas near the canyon are also nice but the prime spot is on the North Shore. I have stayed along the coconut coast a few times but found it a drive from West or North Shores. And I also do not like Poipu area this you will also only understand after you see North Shore. I like the agents of hanalei North shore properities. Here you don't want to be just behind public beach parking area sometimes people gather at night.
We rented here this past summer and they were not connected with Hanalei North Shore properties. I would highly reccommend this property. Diane Oliver is one of the managers of this property and she lives just next store if you have and questions, concerns which you won't but it was nice to know she was a stones throw away. The Aloha unit is only block to the beach. Unlike Princeville area there is no walking down steep cliffs to get to beach.
Aloha Unit.

You also want to remember were ever you go Josie, just because there is a beach infront of your accomodation does not mean it is a swimming beach. Good luck the stars are amazing in the west..

I always enjoy hearing differing opinions so I too will offer one...personally I love the Kauai Coast Resort (on of the Shell Resort Properties located on the Coconut Coast) because it is 1/2 way between Princeville and Poipu Point making for a good central location. It is also a RCI Gold Crown property and very nice. The only negative is that although it is beach front, the beach is rocky and so we always go elsewhere for laying on the beach. They did a 10 million$$ renovation and the resort has won all sorts of awards. Kauai is wonderful and I know you'll enjoy whatever resort you chose.
