Where are the areas in M'hattan where you might find "Kate Spade" purses sold on the street?

you won't find REAL Kate spade purses sold on the street anywhere. they will be in the Kate Spade store in mid-town I think on 5th Avenue? or Madison? You can also find them in any fine department store such as Bloomingdales, Nordstrom's, Saks, etc. If you want knockoffs you can buy them cheap on the street usually in the area close to Times Square.

You'll see fake ones everywhere you go (by central park, on Broadway, etc.). I've heard that there are some "good" fake ones in Chinatown. FYI--the Kate Spade labels on the fake ones usually aren't sewn on--they will peel right off. But hey--I'm not going to complain about a cute $10 purse! Good luck!

Corner of W Broadway and Canal Sts in Chinatown. Better quality than the ones in Times Square. I bought six for the girls in the office for Christmas at 20-30 bucks each. The labels were sewn on, some other shops they weren't, so look around. If your looking for a Rolex make sure the second hand is a "sweep" and expect to pay 30-50. Mine has been running perfectly for over 3 years now. Enjoy and no guilt, Chinatown is the Napster of the retail world.
