Kaanapali beaches
 

Reading reviews on various specific resorts, trying to decide Kaanapali vs Wailea.
Last time there was 10 years ago. We liked Kaanapali because there seemed to be more choices for shopping, resorts, and restaurants than in Wailea... Don't know if that has changed over the years.
But, many of the reviews of Kaanapali resorts ask, "what happened to the beach??"
is there a beach? The reviews allude that it has "washed away!!"

Last time I was there- several years ago- some of the beach area was gone and there was a lot sand bags attempting to reinforce the shore line. I don't know if sand bagging has helped or the beach is gone. We spent our time at other beaches.
