Haven't stayed there, but any JW Marriott will be the creme de la creme of the Marriott chain. It should be lovely and I doubt they'd go to that expense (cost to build per room) in an out-of-the-way location.

Carol...(a Hyatt GM's wife..;>)

Haven't stayed at the JW but I work in downtown and it is their premier hotel in DC and is in a great location for touring the sights.

We stayed there a week last month -June. The location (across from the Willard) cannot be beat. It was quiet in our room; the pool provided a respite from the heat wave; staff was pleasant.

I stayed JW Marriott last April. Pleasant staff, good restaurant and
close to many others. The room was
nice. Bus stop across the street and
1 1/2 blks. to the Metro. Short walk
to all the museums. I will stay there
again and would recommend it.
