Just back from NYC - any questions?

Hi

I'm just back from a 6 day stay in NYC. I plan to post a trip report and lots of pictures on my homepage www.gardkarlsen.com. But if there are any questions I'll try my best to answer.

Did you take any of the Gray Line tours - hop-on-hop-off etc.? We took them this past weekend, and our guides were mostly terrible. I'm hoping this was just bad luck.

Hi

We sure took the Grey Line tours and it was over-priced that is for sure (I think it was 37 $ per person). Some of the guides didn't speak very good English and they didn't give us that much information. Most of the stuff that were told were things that I have read in my guidebook.

Is the Statue of Liberty open yet?

gard - I'm sure what you meant was that the guides didn't speak English well...

Hi

The Statue of Liberty was not open when we were there but there are still rumours that it will open for a short period this summer

kama, for facts like opening hours of attractions, your best bet is to go to Google, type in the name of the attraction, and click on "I'm feeling lucky." This works for the Statue of Liberty, museums, etc. and will give you current, complete, accurate information.

Ooops, sorry, that advice was for milie, not kama.
