Just arrived in Newport, OR. Dining suggestions?

I'm on my phone and can't find old threads so I was hoping to get some suggestions for a good breakfast as well as dinner. We just left Bend where we had a fabulous time!

Local Ocean is good- it's in the Old Town area.

Nanas Irish pub can be fun- no views though.

Aprils was good last time I ate there which was a awhile back- also no views.

For breakfast head to Fishtails Cafe!!! It is just south of the bridge. Take a left and it is across the street from the HIE. Another good breakfast spot is at Nye Beach called Cafe Stephanie.

For dinner, Local Oceans is our favorite. It is along the waterfront down by the bay. Long wait, but well worth it.

Rogue is good for lunch or dinner, but definitely more pub style of course. There are 2 locations, one on the same road as Local Oceans, and the other across the bay by the aquarium. They do tours at that location, as the brewery is right there, and the tours are pretty good if that interests you. They also have a distillery across the parking lot.

Newport is usually a lunch stop on our way down the coast, and we always stop at Rogue Ales, either the restaurant along the bay front or the pub at the Brewery on the south side of the bay. Their clam chowder and fish & chips are great, and pair well with the chipotle ale.

For breakfast, Cafe Stephanie is a safe bet, and for dinner, Local Ocean or maybe Saffron Salmon.

Also the Shilo has a restaurant which I think would be fine for breakfast- has ocean views.

Thanks very much. We're in a rental townhouse which is very nice. The bridge and Rogue are just to the right of us. I think we'll be very happy here.
