Juneau/Skagway to Anchorage area?

Juneau/Skagway to Anchorage area?
Hi,
We're planning our first trip to Alaska. We're going to take the AMHS ferry from Bellingham to Juneau or Skagway. How (besides the ferry) can we get from Juneau or Skagway to Anchorage (or Whittier)? We need to get to Anchorage to get a rental car to drive into the interior. (We need to get the car in Anchorage and return it to Anchorage-flying home from Anchorage.) The Cross-Gulf Ferry really isn't an option as it only runs 2 or 3 times a month. Thanks for any help.
