Juneau Dog Sled Trip
We will be on a cruise in late July of the inside passage. A side trip in Juneau is helicopter to a glacier and a dog sled trip. The entire trip is 4 hours 15 min, cost $419.00 per person, we would be interested in your experience and comments, thank you

Well worth it! We also took this trip off our cruise ship in late July 2 years ago. Luckily we had a beautiful day and were able to enjoy the beautiful views of the glaciers we were flying over from the helicopter - The helicopter ride is scenic and magnificent (about 40 minutes there and 15 back)! Then we landed on a glacier - the dog park is pretty amazing - the dogs are happy and friendly (i was worried it was going to be mean to the animals) - The actual ride was lots of fun - you take turns being the musher and passenger - It is expensive, but also a once in a lifetime experience. We loved it! please let me know if you have any more questions!

I am so jealous. This sounds amazing. Please post a report after your trip. Is this a cruise option (if so, what cruise line) or booked on your own? Hope you have a great experience!

I did it as a trip option on a Royal Carribean cruise, but i think all the cruise ships (and there are tons of them in alaska) offer it -

Juneau glacier dog sledding is the most canceled Alaska excursion, with Skagway not far behind. :) You will see nothing but RAVES for this tour.:) Consider booking direct for savings. If you need to go out of Juneau- look into Coastal helicopters, Skagway TEMSCO. For clairfication- you don't "mush"- (give commands or do the routing). You are in a tantum sled behind the musher. You do have the opportunity to ride in the basket or on the skis.

We will be taking the Juneau Dog Sled Trip in June. What type of clothing do we need to take and do they furnish boots, blankets, etc. Pat in Texas
|
Take a jacket, hat and gloves, they will provide the boots.
