Our baby will be 11 months old - we are trying to figure out where to go...

Where are you starting from?

sorry the baby needed me ...i never finished my post.
we are leaving from New York...I just don't want the baby to spend too much time in a car -I want him to be able to move around as much as possible. Turks - I am nervous about hurricane season I've never been to Nova Scotia - I'll need to do more research. I would like to take the baby on a boat 9not a cruise) thanks |
The baby does not care where you take him/her. Not sure what the deal is about not spending too much time in a car - you also need to be concerned about too much time in a plane - to preserve your sanity and that of those around you.
Evaluate total travel time to each place - California is a 6-7 hour flight, Nova Scotia either a flight or long drive to Bar Harbor and then a ferry ride (does that count as a boat?). I have no idea how long it is to T & C. Then evaluate lodging conditions in each place - you want a suite or at least a room with refrig and microwave. Just curious - how did you settle on 3 such totally different destinations? |
Bermuda!

We stayed at Beaches in Turks & Caicos several years ago. It's the family part of the all-inclusive Sandals chain. My kids were much older and loved it. I hear they do a good job with little ones too, giving you some time to relax if you'd like. It's not inexpensive, though. I don't know what kind of place you're thinking of.
