Joshua Tree advice

The wife and I are driving to Palm Springs from Sedona and were thinking of camping out at Joshua Tree along the way. Any suggestions about good camping areas, or any other advice is appreciated.

The National Park campground is in the middle of Joshua Tree and is a great remote spot, nestled among giant granite boulders. Not far from Twenty-Nine Palms.

I've heard that there are decent motels in Twenty Nine Palms and it's a good base for exploring the area.

Joshua Tree National Park has several nice camping grounds. Jumbo Rocks is set amongst giant boulders. It is a large camping ground and it is free. I like White Tank Campground. It is a small, more remote camping ground but it is also amongst the giant boulders. Camping is also free there.

Hi Steve! Joshua Tree is very popular with great rock climbing. If you are planning on camping, try to get reservations! Otherwise you might be out of luck!

Thanks for all the helpful info.

Pc, if I wrote "my" wife would that imply that I owned her? Is it ok for a woman to write "the husband and I" but not pc for a man to write "the wife and I"? What about "the children"? Is that pc? Do you think you are taking pc too far?
