Joliet has a river boat casino, & is about 45 mins from Chicago. <BR>

The only other thing is a maximum security prison. <BR>

There are two riverboat casinos, Harrah's and Empress. There is also the Route 66 racetrack and the Rialto Square Theater. Joliet has a historic section but also a section that is a bit unsavory.

Visited Joliet at at T'giving last year to see the Collin Raye X-mas Show @ the Rialto Square Theatre....Beautiful theatre and gret ashow, but not much else to recommend the area that I saw. Visitd one of the riverboat casinos, but wasn't impressed at all.
