JK / Newark airport transport to midtown east

Spending 3 days in NYC with my family. Arriving at JFK and flying out of Newark.there will be 5 of us plus luggage. Any recommendations on cost effective transfer options? Just get a cab? How much will this cost roughly?
Thank you.

Yeah, the title is supposed to say JFK! Should have previewed before posting.
Thx.

Too many people and too much luggage for a standard NYC cab. I would suggest you look at the Carmel car site and determine what you need. It will cheaper than two cabs.

Excellent recommendation I'M at $62 for a minivan, looks like a good choice. Thank you.

First, there are non-standard cabs in NYC - minivans that can hold more than 3 or 4 people.

Second, there are various "limousine" sites (they don't just offer limos, they offer a variety of larger vehicles) so shop around. Dial 7 tends to be good too.

There are few, but they are not the norm and they will not hold five and luggage, even if they have two backseats.

Thanks BigRuss and IMD. I guess Carmel and Dial 7 are both reputable, right?

I use both depending on cost and availability. They are both very reliable.

I use Carmel all the time. But have nothing against Dial 7.

Thanks, used Carmel for our transfer and they worked out reliable and better value than a taxi (which would have been too small for 5 of us anyway). Would use them again.
