Jimmy Kelly's in Nashville
Anybody eaten there lately? We've been wanting to try it for years and are finally getting around to it, but now I read the horrible reviews on TA. Kinda nervous about it.
Any suggestions for a good steakhouse where we can visit with friends we haven't seen in about 14 years? Steak, wine, beer, not crazy expensive but good food are the list of desires. Thanks! |
Have not been there in years even though I live near Nashville. Have heard it had gone down. Sorry to not be more helpful. There are so many other great places to eat in Nashville. Bricktop's, Allium, Tayst, Midtown Cafe. Just to name a few.

I'm not a steakhouse expert (just not my thing), so I can't give personal recommendations. But if you're going to research other options, I've heard good things about Fleming's, in the 2525 West End building. There's also Morton's downtown and Ruth's Chris on West End.
The reviews of Jimmy Kelly's on Yelp are pretty decent (though not glowing - my impression has always been that it's beloved more for the history rather than amazing food). http://www.yelp.com/biz/jimmy-kellys...ouse-nashville |
Deb, if you should decide on Morton's be sure to go to their website and check for specials. They nearly always run a $99/couple special.

Ruth's Chris in Nashville is running a special also $39.99 for three courses.
